Laia Castro is an associate professor in the department of Political Science at University of Barcelona and team lead of the Digital Media & Politics group at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación. She does empirical work on political communication, comparative (social) media research & public opinion by use of computational tools & methods.

In the WHAT-IF project, she is PI of WP5. WP5 team will design experiments on a simulated social media environment.

Camilo Cristancho is a Ramon y Cajal Research Fellow at the Department of Political Science at the University of Barcelona. His research focuses on the study of collective action, interest groups and political elite behaviour with a comparative approach in Europe and Latin America. He works with computational linguistics, social network analysis and experimental research.

He is part of WP5 collaborating on experiment design and interactions between humans and LLMs.
